My last post was a week ago so I suppose I should write a quick rundown of our week. It was pretty quiet. The work week flew by without anything interesting to report. Nana was out of town most of the week so Daddy got to pick up the girls. I was fortunate to come home to dinner cooking and bathing girls every night so they did well.
Princess had gymnastics on Thursday. They have been off since mid December and she wouldn’t go last time. Her best buddy was home sick that day so I wasn’t sure how it would go. She got there, changed into her leotard, join the class and had a great time so I think we’re back on track.
The girls and I hung out at home on Friday. Saturday we took all the Christmas decorations down. Hubby and I dropped the girls off with Nana and Papa that evening and met some friends for dinner. When we got home Nana and Papa were watching TV. We chatted for a few minutes and they went home. There was a pile of blankets on the sofa but I really didn’t pay much attention. I was in the kitchen and Hubby was looking for the remote in the living room. He started to pick up the blankets to look under them and stops quickly and says “No one said anything about that!” I said “What?” and he said “That!” and points to the sofa. Hidden under two big fuzzy blankets was Princess, sound asleep. It’s a good thing Hubby decided to look for the remote otherwise Princess would have spent the night on the couch and I would have gotten an earful in the morning.
Speaking of where Princess it sleeping these days, she received a camping kit from Uncle S and Auntie S for Christmas. The tent is really cute and she insisted on sleeping in it so we moved it up to her room. It’s almost as big as the open area in her room. There is just enough room to walk around two sides and still be able to access her closet and bed. She has been sleeping in it since Christmas and there is no sign that she will ever return to her bed.
Sunday afternoon we went to a birthday party for a Sunday school classmate at a local hot spot for kiddie parties. The girls had a blast. By the time we got home it was too late for naps and Flower was exhausted. By 4:30 she was fighting to stay awake so Daddy made an early dinner and the poor little thing just sat at the table crying. We pulled out all her favorites and she wouldn't touch a thing (Do you want cheese and crackers? No! Do you want graham crackers? No! Do you want M&Ms? No!) so finally Daddy asked her if she wanted to go to bed and she said “Yes!” so she went to bed at 5:45 last night. I had to wake her up at 6:45 this morning.
That wraps up our week. The weather is warming up a little so hopefully we’ll get a chance to go skiing this weekend. Have a good week!
